Managing Units in Unified Solutions CAD

The Units tab in Unified Solutions CAD is your control center for managing the field units used in dispatch assignments. From setting up new units to updating vehicle or status details, this section ensures your operational teams are always deployment-ready.

Accessing the Units Tab

To begin, click on the Units tab from the top navigation bar of your CAD dashboard.
This tab provides a structured overview of all available units, including:

1. Unit Name
2. Default Vehicle
3. Current Status
4. Level of Care
5. Unit’s Current Location

This live data helps you understand which units are available, where they are, and what care capabilities they offer.

Creating a New Unit

To add a new unit:

1. Click the Create button at the top right.
2. Fill out the unit form with the following details:
   • Unit Name – Give your unit a clear and recognizable name.
   • Default Vehicle – Choose a vehicle from the dropdown list that will be assigned to this unit.
   • Status – Select the unit’s current operational status (e.g., Available, Assigned, Out of Service).
   • Current Location – Use Google Location Search to specify the unit’s starting point or station.
   • Level of Care – Select from:
     • ALS – Advanced Life Support
     • BLS – Basic Life Support
     • SCT – Specialty Care Transport
   • Assigned Members – (Optional) Add the personnel assigned to the vehicle.
3. Once complete, click Save.

The new unit will appear in the list and will be available for dispatch assignment.

Editing an Existing Unit

To make updates to an existing unit:

1. Click the arrow under the Actions column next to the unit.
2. Select Edit.
3. Update the necessary fields—such as status, vehicle, or members.
4. Click Save to apply your changes.

This flexibility helps you maintain accurate records, adjust for staff changes, or update units as vehicles rotate or move locations.
